Dr. Christina Wong
BDSc (Hons) Melbourne University
Dr. Wong graduated from the University of Melbourne with Honours and has since worked for more than 10 years at 3 private dental practices. Her loyalty to her patients ensured continuity of care.
Dr. Wong has a special interest in children dentistry especially after having children of her own. She strongly promotes the importance and need for a positive experience at the dentist to ensure good future oral health. This positive experience starts with oral health education and preventative dental services at a young age.
In setting up the Focus Dental Group, special care has gone into ensuring a calming environment geared towards the whole family, from the youngest member up.
She is married with two young sons who keep her and her husband busy when she’s not working.
Cert III Dental Assisting
Sonia arrived in Australia in 2016 and is currently enrolled in Cert III Dental Assisting. She has a passion for dentistry and hopes to become a Dental Technician and Prosthetist.
As a dental nurse, Mrs. Farahi is focused, disciplined and has good dexterity. In addition to ensuring the best infection control standards, she also provides technical maintenance and administrative work. Sonia will ensure that your experience at Focus Dental is a pleasant one of the highest standard.
Dr Megan Tran
Dr Megan Tran completed her Bachelor of Biomedicine and Doctor of Dental Surgery at the University of Melbourne. She has experience treating patients in both metropolitan Melbourne and rural areas in Victoria.
Megan is known for her gentle and empathetic approach to dentistry. She is experienced in treating patients who are dentally anxious and is committed to helping them feel comfortable during their appointments. Megan’s approach to dental treatment involves working with patients to address their specific concerns and to formulate individualised treatment plans that best suit their needs.
She is also a strong advocate for oral health promotion and believes in the importance of establishing and maintaining good dental habits across all ages, in particular during childhood. Megan has volunteered with various organisations such as the Australian Dental Association Victorian Branch to promote paediatric oral health.
Outside of dentistry, describing Megan as a big foodie is an understatement. She loves cooking for friends and family, and is always searching for a great new restaurant to try. Megan is currently trying her hand at sourdough bread baking and welcomes any tips you have for her. Between meals, you might find Megan at the latest NGV exhibition, camping around Victoria or planning a trip to exciting cities around the world.
